Generate (and refresh) your GTM plan

You usually don't need to do anything: Distro starts building your GTM plan the moment you click Confirm and continue at the end of product setup. If the plan isn't there when you open Intelligence, you can generate it with one click. Refreshing an existing plan isn't available yet.

How the plan gets generated

1. During setup, you describe your product (name, what you offer, industry, target audience, geography, stage, primary goal, and optionally your existing channels and competitors).
2. On the Confirm your product context. screen, Distro can read your website. Click Analyze website and Distro pulls the page title, meta description, headline and a text preview so you can check them. This step only reads your page. Nothing is generated yet.
3. Review the Editable context fields and click Confirm and continue.
4. Distro starts building your plan in the background and takes you to your dashboard. It usually takes about a minute.

Generate it manually

If the background generation didn't finish, the Intelligence page shows Your Intelligence Report with a note that your product doesn't have a report yet.

1. Open Intelligence in the sidebar.
2. Click Generate intelligence report.
3. Wait for Generating — this takes a minute… to finish. Keep the tab open.
4. When you see Your intelligence report is ready., the page reloads with your plan.

You can also start from the dashboard: if a product has no plan yet, the Intelligence card shows No report yet and a Generate your intelligence report to-do that takes you to the same page.

What Distro reads

Distro reads the single page at the URL you entered and doesn't follow links to other pages. If your homepage is mostly images or scripts, Distro may say it could not find enough readable business information on this website. You can still continue without website analysis: Distro builds the plan from your typed details.

No website yet? That's fine too. Leave the URL empty and Distro works from your description.

Refreshing your plan

The Intelligence page has a Refresh report button, and after 30 days it shows a note such as Your intelligence is 34 days old. Consider refreshing if your product has changed. The dashboard can also show Report is N days old or Product details changed since your report with a Refresh link.

However, regenerating an existing plan is not switched on yet. If you click Refresh report, Distro shows Report regeneration is not enabled yet. and your current plan stays exactly as it is. Nothing is lost and no usage is counted.

If your product has changed so much that the plan no longer fits, contact support from the Support page.

Limits by plan

Each product gets one GTM plan. How many products you can have depends on your plan:

Plan limits list monthly plan refreshes, but since refreshing isn't switched on yet, they don't apply today. If you reach a limit, Distro shows You've reached the limit for this feature on your current plan. and takes you to the Plan & billing page. See Plans, trial and billing.

To add another product on Scale, see Manage your products. A new product goes through the same setup, and its plan is generated when you confirm its details.

If generation fails

• "Confirm your product context before generating distribution intelligence." Product setup wasn't finished. Complete the Confirm your product context. step and click Confirm and continue.
• "This report is already being generated." A generation is already running for this product. Wait a minute and reload the page. If a generation gets stuck, Distro resets it automatically after 5 minutes, and you can then click Generate intelligence report again.
• Any other error. Click Generate intelligence report again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
