Which campaign type should I use? Email, LinkedIn, or Email + LinkedIn
The three kinds of campaign in Distro, how they differ, and where each one is built. All of them are listed together under Outreach โ Campaigns.
Every campaign lives in one list: Outreach โ Campaigns. When you click New campaign, Distro asks how you want to reach people.
| Email + LinkedIn | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| What it sends | A sequence of emails with follow-ups | Connection requests and messages | Emails and LinkedIn steps in one flow |
| Sends from | Your Google account | Your LinkedIn account, through the Distro Chrome extension | Both |
| Stops when someone replies | Yes (follow-ups wait for If no reply) | Yes | Yes, a reply on either channel stops it for that person |
| Add people after launch | No (duplicate the campaign instead) | See LinkedIn campaigns | Yes, any time |
| Built in | The email campaign builder | The LinkedIn campaign builder | The Email + LinkedIn builder |
You only see the types your account has. Without LinkedIn, New campaign goes straight to the email builder.
Which one to pick
- Email when you have email addresses and want a simple sequence with follow-ups.
- LinkedIn when you only have LinkedIn profiles, or want a LinkedIn-only approach.
- Email + LinkedIn when you have both for most people, or want to warm people up on one channel before the other. People with only one channel just skip the other channel's steps. See Email + LinkedIn campaigns.
The Campaigns list
- Type tabs: All, Email, LinkedIn, Email + LinkedIn, with how many of each.
- Status: All statuses, Drafts, Ready, Active, Paused, Completed, Archived.
- Columns: type, status, people, emails sent, opened, replied, and LinkedIn requests, accepted and replies.
- Row menu (โฎ): open, results, pause or resume, duplicate, archive or restore, and delete when the campaign never reached anyone.
Compose single email on the same page sends one email to one person, outside any campaign.
Opening a launched Email + LinkedIn campaign shows its overview and results first; editing is behind Edit.
