People and the "Can reach by" tags (Email only, LinkedIn only, Email + LinkedIn)
How Outreach → People lists everyone you can reach, what the channel tags on people and lists mean, and where email contacts, LinkedIn prospects and Copilot leads live.
People is everyone you can reach. Distro keeps two kinds of people:
- Email contacts: always have an email address, and sometimes a LinkedIn profile.
- LinkedIn prospects: always have a LinkedIn profile, and sometimes a work email.
If you use LinkedIn, People shows both in one list, newest first. If someone is both an email contact and a LinkedIn prospect, they appear once. Without LinkedIn, People opens your email contacts.
The "Can reach by" tag

Filter the list with All, Email + LinkedIn, Email only or LinkedIn only. To change someone's tag, add the missing detail: a LinkedIn URL on an email contact, or a work email on a LinkedIn prospect.
Lists are tagged too
On the Lists tab every list shows how its people can be reached. When everyone is the same, the list gets that tag. When they differ, it's Mixed, with the split underneath (for example "262 Email + LinkedIn · 2 Email only"). LinkedIn prospect lists show on the same tab and open on their own page.
