Which LinkedIn signals actually show intent
Not every like is a buying signal. The useful signals are the ones that tell you someone is thinking about your problem right now, and that they are the kind of person who could buy.
- Comments on a post about the problem you solve, especially questions or pain described in their own words
- Replies in a comment thread, which show an active conversation
- Reactions, which are weaker on their own but count when they repeat across posts
- Engagement with your competitors' and target companies' posts, not only your own
How Distro scores a signal
Distro scores each person without guesswork. The score adds up how they engaged, how well they fit your ideal customer (role, seniority and topics from your GTM plan), how recent it was, and whether they engaged more than once. Anything on your red-flag list lowers the score.
The result is a simple band: high, medium or low intent. You see why someone scored the way they did, then decide who is worth a message.
Reaching out without being creepy
The opener should reference the topic, not the click. Distro's suggested openers start from what the person discussed, never say "I saw you liked", contain no links, and make no claims about buying intent.
Nothing is sent automatically from a signal. You save the people worth contacting, approve the note, and the sequence stops the moment they reply.
